Our office will be closed on Monday 26 May for the public holiday. For emergencies, call our 24-hour line.

If you’re worried about paying your rent, please get in touch. We work with tenants every week to sort things out, and the earlier we know, the more we can help.

The things that bring people into arrears — losing a job, a change in benefits, an unexpected bill, splitting up from a partner — happen to a lot of our tenants. We’ve seen it all and we won’t judge. Coming to us early is almost always what makes the difference.

We’re here to help

When you come to us, our money advice team will sit down with you in person or over the phone. Together we’ll look at what you’re paying, what you can afford, and whether there’s anything we can change.

Depending on your situation, that might include:

  • Putting an affordable payment plan in place
  • Checking you’re receiving every benefit and discretionary payment you’re entitled to
  • Looking at budgeting support if money’s tight more generally
  • Referring you to specialist services for debt, energy costs, or food support

None of this is paperwork-heavy. Most conversations take less than an hour and you’ll usually leave with a clear plan and a sense of what happens next.

Sarah leads our money advice work and has supported tenants at Rosehill for over a decade.

How to get in touch

The easiest way is to call our money advice team on 0141 880 4006, Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm. You can also email advice@rosehillhousing.co.uk and we’ll get back to you within one working day.

If you’d rather speak to someone in person, our office at 250 Peat Road is open weekdays. Drop in and someone will sit down with you in private. If you’d prefer a housing officer to refer you, ask any member of the team and they’ll arrange a callback at a time that suits.

When I lost my job, I thought I’d lose my home too. The team at Rosehill helped me sort things out before they got that far.

What if I leave it?

Rent arrears are much easier to work through when we catch them early. If they build up over months, the options become more limited and the next steps become more formal — eventually that can mean court action, which is something we never want to reach.

Missed a payment already?

Even if you can’t make a full payment, get in touch today. We’d much rather hear from you than not, and putting a plan in place takes the pressure off straight away.

Other places that can help

If you’d rather speak to an independent service first, Citizens Advice Scotland, StepChange, and Shelter Scotland all offer free, confidential advice on money and housing. Their contact details are in the related links below.

However you get in touch, we’ll take it from there.

Worried about a different part of your tenancy?

Our team is here Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Call us or send a message and we’ll point you in the right direction.
